A G R E E M E N T
on Cooperation in the Field of Sports between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay
The Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay (hereinafter referred to as "the Parties"),
with the desire to further develop contacts in the sphere of Physical Education and Sports as a means of strengthening friendship between the two states,
have agreed as follows:
ARTICLE 1
Hereby the Parties agree to implement cooperation in the field of sports in accordance with provisions of this Agreement, their national legislations and the norms and principles of international law.
ARTICLE 2
The Parties shall encourage their states' sports national federations, unions associations and institutions to establish and develop direct links, as well as promote exchange of their experts and sports delegations.
ARTICLE 3
The Parties shall contribute to reinforcing cooperation in the field of physical culture and sports by:
1. encouraging the organization of joint training seminars of the coaches of the two states and endeavouring exchange of experts and visits to sports centres and installations.
2. inviting arbiters to participate in arbitration seminars and sports games organized by Non-Governmental Organizations in the field of sports of their states.
3. cooperating in the fields of disability sport and healthy lifestyle.
ARTICLE 4
The Parties shall encourage the exchange of experience in organizing mass sport competitions, involving people in regular physical exercises.
ARTICLE 5
The Parties shall promote the exchange of materials concerning physical education, sports science, sports medicine and information of mutual interest.
ARTICLE 6
The Parties shall support mutual participation in sportive events taking place in both states and encourage each other to ensure its state's delegation's participation in training camps and open championships.
ARTICLE 7
The cooperation under this Agreement shall be implemented according to the financial capacity of the Parties.
The financing of different projects deriving from this Agreement shall be agreed upon by separate arrangements between the Parties.
ARTICLE 8
Amendments and supplements to this Agreement may be done by the initiative of any of the Parties and by the mutual consent. They shall be formalized in separate protocols, which shall be integral part of this Agreement and shall enter into force according to the procedures prescribed for the entry into force of this Agreement.
ARTICLE 9
Any disputes and disagreements arisen during the execution or interpretation of this Agreement shall be solved by the Parties through negotiations and consultations.
ARTICLE 10
This Agreement shall enter into force on the date of the receipt of the last notification through diplomatic channels of any of the Parties on the completion of the internal procedures provided by the national legislation of its state for the entry into force of international treaties.
This Agreement shall remain in force for an unlimited period unless any of the Parties notifies the other in writing through diplomatic channels about its intention to terminate at least six (6) months prior the expiration of this Agreement.
Done at Montevideo on 9 July, 2014, in two original copies, each in Armenian, Spanish and English languages, all texts being equally authentic. In case of divergence of interpretation of this Agreement during its implementation, the English text shall prevail.
The Agreement has entered into force on 08.06.2016.
