Memorandum of Understanding Between the Government of the State of Kuwait and the Government of the Republic of Armenia in the fields of Public Health and Medical Sciences

 

The Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government State of Kuwait

hereinafter referred to as "the Parties".

 

Desiring to promote cooperation in the field of Public health and medical sciences between their two states

 

Have agreed on the following:

 

Article 1

 

Taking into account the present MOU, and national legislation of the two States, the parties have agreed to develop cooperation in the fields of public health and medical sciences and to support each other in enhance cooperation between their medical institutions and centers based of mutual agreements.

 

Article 2

 

The two parties shall visits by experts in any of the areas of cooperation decided upon as priority and aims at better mutual knowledge of health providing systems in both countries and better training on health care and staff resources for the parties.

The two parties shall inform one another with the name or name or names of the experts, job titles, scientific specialization and proposed topics for the visit thirty days before the date agreed upon between the two parties. The date and method of arrival should be reported fifteen days in advance from the sending party to the receiving party.

The sending party shall pay the expenses of the travelling experts.

 

Article 3

 

To promote cooperation in the field of medical science, the parties shall provide a schedule of medical meetings for every year. The parties shall equally provide the organizational details of these meetings.

 

Article 4

 

4.1 The parties shall support direct cooperation between medical and research institutions working in their countries.

Direct cooperation is done between institutions through exchange of scientific articles and technical documents as well as joint research programs in areas of mutual interest based on joint work plans and methodologies.

4.2 The parties shall support direct cooperation between hospitals on the basis of direct understanding.

 

Article 5

 

5.1 The parties shall organize consultations between experts in cancer

5.2 The parties shall provide each other with statistical data on recorder communicable diseases.

5.3 The parties shall exchange information and experience in the application of international laws and the recommendations of current laboratory researches.

5.4 The parties shall exchange information on health legislation and other fields of common interest by mutual agreement.

5.5 The parties shall promote the exchange of published articles in the fields of public health and medical sciences.

 

Article 6

 

The Parties shall create a coordination team consisting of three persons from each Party to be responsible for execution of cooperation, the meeting of which shall be held once a year alternately Kuwait and Yerevan.

 

Article 7

 

Any dispute concerning the interpretation or application of the terms of this MOU shall be settled through direct negotiations between the parties.

 

Article 8

 

Based on mutual consent of both parties, this MOU can amended and supplements can be added, which will be formulated as separate protocols and become an integral part of this MOU and shall enter into force in accordance with the same provisions of Article 9 hereof.

 

Article 9

 

This MOU shall enter into force from the date of the last notification whereby one of the parties inform the other party in writing, through diplomatic channels, that it has completed all local legal procedures in both countries, and shall remain in force an indefinite period

 

Any Party may withdrawal from this MOU after six months of receiving a written notification through diplomatic channels from the other Party of its intention to withdraw from the MOU.

 

This MOU was signed in Kuwait City on 17 December 2015, corresponding to the 6 of Rabia Alawwal 1437H, in two originals in the Armenian, Arabic and English, all texts are being equally authentic. In case of divergence in the interpretation of the provisions of this MOU, the English text shall prevail.

 

The Memorandum has entered into force on 14 November 2016
