The Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the Republic of Chile, hereinafter referred to as "the Parties",

Desiring to strengthen the bonds of friendship between both States,

Have agreed as follows:

ARTICLE 1

The holders of valid diplomatic and official passports issued by either Party may enter the territory of the State of the other Party and stay therein for a period not exceeding ninety (90) days from the date of entry without a need to obtain a visa.

ARTICLE 2

The holders of diplomatic and official passports issued by either Party, who are assigned to a Diplomatic Mission or Consular Post in the territory of the State of the other Party as well as members of their families holding such passports, may enter, transit, stay, leave and re-enter the territory of the other Party without visa during the time of their assignment.

ARTICLE 3

In the event of loss of, or damage to, a diplomatic or official passport held by a national of the State of either Party in the territory of the State of the other Party, the relevant authority of the receiving Party shall be informed thereof.

ARTICLE 4

The visa waiver under this Agreement does not release holders of diplomatic or official passports of either Party from abiding by the laws and regulations in force in the territory of the State of the other Party during their stay.

ARTICLE 5

Each Party shall reserve the right to deny its permit to enter into the territory of its State or cancel the stay permit if the entry or stay of a particular person is considered “persona non grata”, without expressing any reasons therefore.

ARTICLE 6

1. The Parties shall exchange samples of their passports referred to in Article 1 of this Agreement through the diplomatic channels not later than thirty (30) days after the entry into force of this Agreement.

2. Should either Party modify its passports referred to in Article 1 of this Agreement, it shall submit samples of the new passports to the other Party through the diplomatic channels at least thirty (30) days before the release thereof.

ARTICLE 7

The Parties shall reserve the right to suspend in whole or in part the application of this Agreement for reasons of public security, public order or public health. The suspension and the reasons therefore shall be officially notified through the diplomatic channels and shall become effective immediately thereafter. Likewise, the Parties shall notify each other, through the same channels, of the ending of this measure.

ARTICLE 8

Any differences or disputes arising out of the implementation or application of this Agreement shall be settled amicably through the diplomatic channels.

ARTICLE 9

This Agreement may be amended or supplemented by mutual consent of the Parties. Such amendments and supplements shall be done in separate protocols, which shall form integral part of this Agreement and shall enter into force according to the provisions of Article 11 of this Agreement.

ARTICLE 10

The duration of this Agreement shall be indefinite. It may be terminated by either Party upon the receipt of ninety (90) days' written notice through the diplomatic channels.

ARTICLE 11

This Agreement shall enter into force thirty (30) days after the date of the receipt of the last Note by which one Party notifies the other, through the diplomatic channels, of the fulfillment of the internal procedures necessary for entry into force of this Agreement.

DONE at Yerevan, on April 27 of 2018, in two originals, each in the Spanish, Armenian and English languages, all texts being equally authentic. In the event of any difference of interpretation, the English text shall prevail.
